Brief History

Pensmith School was established in 1988 by Achin Maryprasith with the mission to provide students with a solid foundation for further studies and to prepare them to become qualified professionals in various fields. Over the years, many alumni have gone on to excel as doctors, nurses, engineers, architects, and successful business owners, making significant contributions to their communities.
As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, the need for proficiency in English and global competencies has never been more critical. Globalization has opened new opportunities for students to pursue careers internationally, and at Pensmith, we are committed to preparing our students for success in professional environments both locally and abroad. Our school strives to meet the evolving needs of the community by providing a holistic education that develops students academically, socially, and emotionally.
In response to the changing educational landscape and the expectations of parents and students, Pensmith School has continuously evolved. Under the leadership of Dr. Primrose Maryprasith, the school transitioned to an international curriculum in April 2022, meeting the high standards set by the Ministry of Education. This shift reflects our commitment to delivering an education that is relevant in a rapidly changing world while supporting every student’s unique potential. By providing a dynamic, student-centered learning environment, Pensmith International School ensures that all learners are equipped to thrive in their future studies and careers, both at home and abroad.

Pensmith International School staff facilitate learning through the British National Curriculum. By engaging with a British curriculum and studying in an English-speaking environment, pupils are better equipped to access universities abroad and prepare for living and working in diverse locations.
